At MoneyCalc Pro, your privacy is not just a policy — it is the foundation of how we built every calculator on this site. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and do not collect, how we use advertising, and the choices you have regarding your data.

1. Financial Data: We Do Not Collect It

This is the most important section of our privacy policy, so we want to be completely clear:

  • All calculations happen entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter into our calculators (income, debt amounts, loan terms, etc.) are processed by JavaScript running on your device.
  • Your financial inputs are never transmitted to our servers. We do not have a backend database that stores your calculations. There is no server-side processing of your data.
  • We cannot see, access, or share your financial information because we never receive it.
  • You can use our calculators offline. Once a page has loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and every calculator will continue to work perfectly.

If you are technically inclined, you can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools (F12), go to the Network tab, and use any calculator. You will see that no data is sent to any server when you type in the input fields.

2. Information We Automatically Collect

Like most websites, we collect basic, non-identifying technical information to keep our site running and secure:

  • IP address — used solely for security purposes (e.g., blocking malicious traffic) and is not linked to any personal identity
  • Browser type and version — helps us ensure compatibility across browsers
  • Pages visited and time spent — aggregated, anonymous usage statistics
  • Referring website — how you found our site (search engine, direct link, etc.)

This information is standard for any web server and is used only in aggregate form to improve our website. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identifier.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

MoneyCalc Pro uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Essential Cookies

These are necessary for the website to function. They remember your preferences (such as dark/light mode if applicable) and ensure the site loads correctly. You cannot opt out of these without breaking site functionality.

Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)

We display ads through Google AdSense to keep our calculators free. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites. These cookies allow Google to:

  • Show you ads that are more relevant to your interests
  • Limit how many times you see the same ad
  • Measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns
  • Report ad interactions (impressions, clicks) to advertisers

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

Analytics Cookies

If we use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), they may use cookies to collect anonymous usage data. This data helps us understand which calculators are most popular and where we should focus our development efforts. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

4. Third-Party Advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads on our site based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies allows it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by:

  • Visiting Google Ads Settings
  • Visiting aboutads.info/choices to opt out of third-party vendor cookies
  • Enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings
  • Using browser extensions that block tracking cookies

5. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store your financial data, there is no risk of your financial information being breached from our systems. The only data we hold is basic server logs (IP addresses, page requests), which are automatically rotated and do not contain personal information.

Our website is served over HTTPS, ensuring that all communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) provides additional security layers including DDoS protection and bot mitigation.

6. Children's Privacy

MoneyCalc Pro does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Our calculators are designed for adults making financial decisions. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to object — object to processing of your data for certain purposes
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for cookie-based tracking at any time

Since we do not collect personal data beyond basic server logs, most of these rights are automatically satisfied. If you have a specific request, please contact us.

8. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because we do not collect, store, or process personal financial data, we minimize the scope of data subject to these regulations. For any privacy-related requests under GDPR or CCPA, please contact us through our contact page.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever we make changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

10. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please visit our contact page. We are committed to transparency and will respond to your privacy concerns promptly.
